Zoo Park Safari Punta Verde

The zoo park occupies an area of 100,000 sq. m. set in a loop of the River “Tagliamento”, in the north-west of the Lignano peninsula, and hosts over 1000 animals belonging to 150 different species including mammals, birds and reptiles.

The Park is improved and upgraded continuously. We reproduce the typical habitat of each species, paying particular attention to the flora. Indigenous plants live side-by-side with tropical species which survive thanks to ponds fed by 30°C thermal water sources, creating microclimates for the wellbeing of the more exotic animals
